Kenosha Innovation Center welcomes insurance agency as tenant

M3 Insurance has moved one of its offices to a growing development in Kenosha.

Madison-based M3 Insurance on Monday announced it had moved its Kenosha office from 5320 Green Bay Road into the Kenosha Innovation Center, a hub for startups, entrepreneurs and job training. The center anchors the Kenosha Innovation Neighborhood, a redevelopment of a former Chrysler factory site.

M3 occupies 5,000 square feet on the center’s second floor, where it has space for up to 25 team members, a spokesperson for M3 said. The spokesperson said the move accommodates a need for more space.

The length of M3’s multi-year lease was not disclosed.

M3 Partner and CEO Mike Victorson said in a statement that the relocation brings the business “closer to the people and ideas shaping what’s next for this region.”

“At the Kenosha Innovation Center, we can convene clients and partners, host educational events, and collaborate in real time to help organizations anticipate risk and seize opportunity as they grow,” Victorson said.

M3 has nine total offices across Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin, including seven in the state. It opened its previous Kenosha office in 2022.

Kenosha Innovation Neighborhood Executive Director Kelly Armstrong told the Business Journal that M3 already has given presentations and reached out to the many startups the neighborhood aims to attract.

At the 64,000-square-foot Kenosha Innovation Center, 5522 26th Ave., M3 joins tenants that include Kivi Bio, Ordify AI, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside’s Parkside Works program and the Carthage College School of Business & Economics, among others.

The overall neighborhood development is expected to include technology incubators and offices, education institutions, businesses, housing and green space.

M3 Insurance is the largest employee benefits firm in Wisconsin, according to Business Journal research, and it is the eighth-largest independent insurance agency in the Milwaukee area.
